Folks, If I were to list every type of coffee table that we have made, we would be here for 2 days.
There were no original Arts & Crafts coffee tables. The concept had not evolved in 1900.
If you drank coffee and had a discussion, it was around a taller" kitchen" or "parlor" style table.
I have made hundreds of coffee tables. And, when they were not directly ordered or commissioned,
I would often make 10 of them and every one would be different!!
So, have at it......Most "custom" coffee tables will not cost much, if any, more than the ones shown.
You will notice, however, that I don't put drawers in coffee tables....
To my eye, they just get too clunky and "cigar box" looking.
Look through these, and let us know what you would like.
Probably 60% of the tables that we have made in the past 10 years have been sizes other than
the "traditional" 24" X 48" X 18" tall. Once you ask us to exceed 40" (either square or round)
you may want to consider combinations of tables to achieve the same purpose.
It takes a big room to allow for walking around a 40"+ coffee table.
These are some basic forms, but each one has been made in many different variations. |
