End of an era...
I just saw the best idea that I have seen in a long time. A national association of crib manufacturers
has suggestedthat all drop sides on cribs be
discontinued and, banned.
That is music to our ears.
We will immediately discontinue making our cribs with drop sides.
We will increase the number of adjustment points on the mattress, to give a greater degree of height adjustment.
The top and bottom mattress position will still adhere to federal regulations.
We have disliked drop sides from the start.
They are cumbersome, dangerous, and the hardware has gotten more and more flimsy.
Good riddance.
Our pictures will begin to accurately reflect the actual look of the cribs when we make a run of the new style.
For now, we may just construct digital pictures of cribs without drop sides to use on the site.
We will alter the text as we are able.
No more drop sides on our cribs .... March 19, 2009

Our Cribs, and Youth Furniture are all handmade, one piece at a time.
They will be treasured by succeeding generations, as their use continues.
We do not approach the Arts & Crafts style as a popular, transient fad.
It represents a soundness of design and functionality that transcend brief periods of favor.
If your lifestyle invites continuity and respects heritage, you will know immediately,
when you see
a piece of our furniture, that fond memories of its use will continue and endure for generations to come. |
