We relish being asked to do the difficult. And we have been tasked to do the near impossible. All of the pieces in the “custom work” section were difficult. They represent varying levels of technical proficiency, but all are the product of design and mechanical challenges that were beyond the scope of merely qualified craftsmen.

In the case of the furniture built for the Arkansas Capitol restoration, there was a further component to the construction. We assembled local lumber, and a profound sense of appreciation for the 25 years of remarkable freedom and beauty that the state had afforded us. The result was some of our best work, in an original American   arts & crafts setting.
