I will cry if someone buys these and puts them in a dark room beside a bed....PUT THESE IN THE MIDDLE OF A BIG BRIGHT ROOM.....THEY ARE STUNNING FROM EVERY ANGLE. FRONT....BACK.....SIDES....THESE ARE AN ASTOUNDING COLLECTION OF INCREDIBLE GRAIN.

As we saw out lumber, we come upon trees with a "spiral" grain pattern. What causes it....DUH....We don't know. Maybe 1 in 300 trees has this "twisted" grain pattern.


WE SAVE THIS WOOD AND OCCASIONALLY INDULGE OUR INNER EXCESSES WITH A PIECE, OR PAIR OF PIECES MADE ENTIRELY OF THE COMPLEX PATTERNED GRAIN.

OH, BY THE WAY, THEY ARE QUARTERSAWN ALSO !!!!!

YOU WILL ALWAYS FIND CLEVER MATCHING OF THE BOARDS TO ACHIEVE AN OVERALL PATTERN. THE GRAIN IS WELL MATCHED. THE FINEST CONSTRUCTION AND FINISH ARE EVIDENT THROUGHOUT THIS PIECE.


EVERY ANGLE....EVERY SURFACE IS INCREDIBLE. The multiple dimensions of the grain pattern overlay each other for a 3-D effect. The quartersawn flakes "swim" in a sea of changing and shifting spiral grain.

WHEN YOU THINK YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT.....JUST SHIFT THE PIECE A LITTLE BIT, AND AN ENTIRELY NEW GRAIN PATTERN WILL EMERGE.

THESE ARE VERY, VERY NICE TABLES.
The tables are made one at a time. All the joints are hand cut, hand fitted, and cross-pinned with white oak dowels after gluing.
The beautiful top, the gentle taper on the legs, beautiful brass pulls, and the delightful corbels, set these stands apart from any,"off the shelf" furniture. Meticulous handwork is evident everywhere on these pieces.Carefully selected and matched components, for a balanced and pleasing look.
Superb, hand rubbed, finish. The aniline dye and multiple coats of hand rubbed lacquer put these in a class by themselves.
